Uninstallwinclient Exe Landesk Management
- By design, uninstallwinclient.exe will remove: All LANDesk files except some in ‘all users application data ’ such as the APM DB. All LANDesk start menu shortcuts. All LANDesk services. All registry values and keys except the common API keys containing the LANDesk GUID.

Step 1

Step 2
Copy the 'UninstallWinClient.exe' file from the Idmain directory to your local machine. You can copy it to any directory on your machine. The file does not have any dependencies, so it is the only file needed to remove LANDesk.
Step 3
Click the Windows 'Start' button and select 'Run.' Enter 'cmd' into the text box and press 'Enter.' This opens the Windows command prompt.
Step 4
Type 'cd <directory>' into the command prompt and press 'Enter.' Replace '<directory>' with the location of the 'UninstallWinClient.exe' file you copied in Step 1.
Step 5
Type 'UninstallWinClient.exe /reboot' into the command prompt and press 'Enter.' This uninstalls the LANDesk client and reboots the machine automatically, so changes take effect immediately.
Management and Security
Prior to Endpoint Manager 8.5, anyone could uninstall Endpoint Manager agents by running wscfg32.exe with the /u parameter. Since wscfg32.exe was in the LDLogon share, which managed devices could access, it was relatively easy for users to uninstall Endpoint Manager agents.
With Endpoint Manager 8.5 and later, the /u parameter has been removed from wscfg32.exe. There's a new utility called UninstallWinClient.exe in the LDMain share, which is the main ManagementSuite program folder. Only administrators have access to this share. This program uninstalls Endpoint Manager or Server Manager agents on any device it runs on. You can move it to any folder you want or add it to a login script. It's a Windows application that runs silently (without displaying an interface).
Running this program won't remove a device from the core database. If you redeploy agents to a device that ran this program, it will be stored in the database as a new device.
